Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using LockedOut, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What LockedOut does

LockedOut is an accountability tool. It uses GPS location to verify gym attendance, tracks streaks and check in history, and provides an AI room cleanliness check. It uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls) and Android's UsageStatsManager to manage app access at the operating system level. The app relies on your commitment to the system you set up.

Subscriptions

LockedOut offers premium features through auto renewing subscriptions managed by Apple. When you subscribe:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device settings under Subscriptions.
• Prices may vary by region and are displayed in the App Store before purchase.

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the gym locations you save. LockedOut verifies your GPS coordinates against locations you configure. We do not validate whether a location is an actual gym.

You are responsible for granting location permissions. The app requires location access to function. If you deny or revoke permissions, core features will not work.

Data and privacy

Most of your data is stored locally on your device. Social features (friends, challenges) use secure cloud servers (Supabase). We do not sell or share personal information. For full details, read our Privacy Policy.

The clean room feature sends photos to an AI service for analysis. Photos are processed in real time and are not stored after verification.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to circumvent subscription requirements through technical manipulation.

Disclaimers

LockedOut is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, GPS accuracy, or AI analysis accuracy.

LockedOut is not a health or fitness advisor. It is a behavioural accountability tool. Consult a professional before starting any exercise programme.

We are not responsible for any loss of streak data, check in history, or settings due to device failure, app deletion, or software updates.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LockedOut and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
